Note.space is a quiet, minimal markdown editor for thinking — alone, or with the people you build with. No notifications, no streaks, no AI begging to write for you.
These docs cover what's in the box, how to get the most out of it, and the handful of opinions baked in along the way.
What you'll find here
- Quickstart — sign in, create your first note, and share it in under a minute.
- The editor — slash menu, keyboard shortcuts, and the difference between Regular and Source modes.
- Markdown syntax — every block, callout, and inline mark we support.
- AI assistant — opt-in writing assistant, what gets sent to providers, and what doesn't.
- Sharing notes — public links, password protection, and revoking access.
- Billing — plans, top-ups, and how invoicing works.
A short note on philosophy
The fastest way to lose a thought is to wait for an interface to catch up with it. Everything in Note.space defaults to fast: the editor mounts on the first keystroke, mutations are optimistic, and the network is treated as a confirmation step — not a permission step.
If something feels slow, that's a bug. Tell us about it.
